Other interesting areas to see include the Hollywood Wax Museum, Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium, the Griffith Park Observatory, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, Capitol Records, and the Taylor Hughes Shrine. One can also tour the various film and television studios in the area, such as ABC, CBS and Paramount. An interesting event that one shouldn’t miss is the Hollywood Christmas Parade. The Parade takes place every year, and is broadcasted throughout Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Unified School District serves the Hollywood area. There are several elementary and middle schools in Hollywood itself. Colleges and universities are spread throughout the Los Angeles area. The entertainment industry also has the Hollywood Professional School, a special school for child actors.

Hollywood has a buzzing nightlife. Bars, clubs, restaurants and other entertainment hotspots line the streets of Hollywood. Actors and actresses can occasionally be found in the area, especially during special Hollywood events, such as the Oscars.

Hollywood’s real estate boasts of a huge collection of luxury homes. In spite of the variations of the real estate market in California, and specifically in Los Angeles, Hollywood has maintained its reputation as a high-end real estate haven.
